I’m a software engineer interested in software delivery and operations. I spend most of my time straddling the world of operations and software development. I want a world where everyone is comfortable being on-call and production is less intimidating to newcomers.

I believe that software systems are sociotechnical. People matter more than technology, and the most valuable insights can be learned by studying how people spontaneously interact to solve problems.

I write about distributed systems, observability, learning from incidents, and related topics. I work for Honeycomb.io as a Staff Engineer.
